Top 5 Fiercest Hypercars Displayed at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show

Do you feel the need for speed? Well then, hypercars are for you! With an engine making over 1,000 horsepower or top speed higher than 200 miles per hour, hypercars are surely a hit for the speed and adrenaline junkies out there.

Here are five of the best hypercars showcased at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show held at the Palexpo convention center in Geneva, Switzerland from March 3 to 13.

10. Apollo Arrow

First on the list is the Germany-made Apollo Arrow. Its sleek lines and detail make it one of the most eye-catching supercars in the expo. Weighing about 2,866 pounds with 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, this baby makes about 986 horsepower and 737 lb-ft of torque.

It might be short of 14 horsepower for our standards for a hypercar but its maximum speed goes to about 223 mph. How’s that for a supercar, right? The only downside is that its massive front lip splitter makes it almost impossible to navigate through speed bumps. With this, you surely have to “drive safely”.

9. Arash AF10

Another car that has caught the attention of both critics and enthusiasts is the Arash AF10. This stunning beauty is made of carbon fiber powered by four electric motors, each with 295 horsepower; plus a 3.2-liter V8 engine making 900 horsepower.

That’s a total of 2,080 horsepower with torque at 1,682 lb-ft, the perfect combination to make it one of the world’s best. However, this sophistication and power come with a great price: each Arash AF10 has a starting price of $1.6 million making it an enviable addition to the collection of rare sophisticated supercars.

8. Bugatti Chiron

The Bugatti Chiron is better than the Veyron but it isn’t merely an upgraded version. It’s so much more. The Chiron has a top speed of 260 mph but will be improved to set itself on the top of world speed records.

Chiron is a better and bolder version of its ancestor, the 1,500 hp hypercar Veyron as it was “reengineered to make the best, better”. Bugatti regards the Veyron as the beauty and the beast but it refers to the Chiron as the “beauty with a lot more beast”.

7. Zenvo ST1

Next on our list is the Zenvo ST1. You may have heard about the Zenvo that broke down and caught fire on Top Gear but the new Zenvo ST1 wants to erase that image and prove that it is worthy to be called a hypercar.

It has a top speed of 233 mph coming from a twin-supercharged flat-plane crank 5.9-liter V8 engine. Moreover, its rear wheels have two seven-speed transmissions. How’s that? Hopefully, Zenvo already worked on that fire problem.

6. Koenigsegg Regera

Finally, slipping into our list is Koenigsegg’s new Regera. This Swedish hypercar house has commanded so much attention that it does not have to exert much effort to introduce their supercar, the Regera.

In eight seconds, this Swedish masterpiece that weighs 3,505 pounds can hit 186 mph. It also delivers 1,500 horsepower from the turbocharged V8 and electric motor. Koenigsegg’s Regera is a unique regal combination of class and power..
