Honda Updates CB500F & CBR650F for 2016

Honda revealed updates to its middleweight CB500F and CBR650F during an event in Milan ahead of this year’s EICMA show. Much is the same yet some changes, particularly to the CB500F, are worthy of note. Most are styling updates, as with the CBR650F, which receives a new Matte Black Metallic with Candy Red color option and graphics layout. It will be available for $8499 without ABS and $8999 with ABS starting January 2016.

The CB500F gets a bit more love, though styling updates are high on the list of refinements for 2016 as well. Honda endeavored keep the naked bike looking clean, but enhanced some of the bodywork for a more aggressive stance. It will be available in a Matte Black Metallic/Silver colorway starting February 2016.

LED headlights and taillights are now standard and the fuel capacity was grown to 4.4 gallons. The 41mm fork gets externally adjustable spring preload and the front brake lever is adjustable as well. Honda also refined the transmission on the CB500F to improve feel when shifting through the gears.

Pricing has yet to be announced for the CB500F, so we’ll update as soon as that information is made available.
